There are many paths to nirvana. Each path has its cheerleaders and its critics. A visit to Mesa de los Santos makes you forget the debate. Fair Trade? Rain Forest? Utz Kapeh?
...Whatever. If all the coffee in the world were grown like this, I for one would be happy…The goals for Royal Coffee (socially progressive, frog-happy, bat-happy, birdfriendly, salamander-safe, fairly priced, excellent coffee) are being met. I highly recommend this coffee and a visit to the farm as well. I was first enchanted in the spring of 2001. At the end of a long road trip, weary from inspecting fermentation tanks and imagining kidnappings, Helen, Jaime and I were rejuvenated by our experience. So I hope you’ll enjoy Alex’s trip report as much as I. ---By the way, if for any reason you don’t want to buy the coffee, make sure you never go, because you’ll fall in love.

ORGANIC COFFEE MESA DE LOS SANTOS
1) Acidity: Our cuppers rated the acidity from average to very good, with good overall brightness.
2) Body: Rated from above average to very good. The coffee had a good, heavy stable base for a Colombian
3) Character and Flavor: Sweet, floral, slightly fruity and citrus. A very well rounded coffee, ideal as a stand alone coffee.
4) Overall Rating: Royal cuppers rated this coffee from above average to very good.
